Small lake with a 1.66 mile loop with four tight turns. We were a 3-person crew in a 4-man boat (Di was not racing).
15-20 mph winds out of the north and near freezing temps for air and water. Water was choppy. Maiden voyage for new crew.

Rogers Landing on the Willamette River, 2.5 miles upstream around Ash Island and back.
Calm, flat water, no wind. 39 minutes to do 2.5 miles upstream and 22.5 minutes to get back. The average current speed was about 1.4 mph.
I estimate my actual boat speed to be about 5.2 mph, so maybe I can break 60 minutes with this little rec kayak when the river calms down some more.
