5 miles - WSBS Thunderbolt kayak - Dan Murn
Dan Murn from Fairport, NY is returning back to the Virtual Race in his Thunderbolt: 5 miles, 40:46 minutes or 7.36 mph. In the previous years he had several very fast entries to 5 and 10 mile race. He paddled WSBS Thunderbolt in 2005 and Dagger Essox in 2004.
Splits: 1000 meter - 4:57, mile 1 - 8:11, mile 2 - 16.17, 2.5 miles turn around 20:28, mile 3 - 24:38 , mile 4 - 32:53, mile 5 - 40:46. 1-1/2 mile felt good so just kept going, hit a few big boat wakes, slowed me a little bit. Mile 3 to 4 really hurt, got my second wind and just really focused on my stroke. |
